We currently lead the School of Worship
We are Missionaries. In Training. This has a double meaning:
1. We are full time Missionaries serving at the YWAM Montana campus which focuses primarily on training people in various areas of ministry. As staff we are a part of providing that training – for us specifically, through the School of Worship.
2. We are also ‘Missionaries in training’ ourselves. God is always training us as we submit our lives to Him as disciples. Although we invest our time training students each year and many other things too, personally we are always trying to better ourselves and ask God to change and mold us to reflect Jesus.

When it comes to training others and being trained ourselves there are 3 specifics on our journey with the Lord that highlight the areas of the ministry we do. We feel that God is and will continue to use us in these areas in ministry over the next 5-10 years.
Serving: God has clearly called us to serve in Missions work and has lead us both to YWAM in Montana for this season. Although in the future we may move to another location, for now we have committed to use our skills and talents at YWAM Montana to further the work God is doing through the staff and students who come.

Training: YWAM Montana is primarily a training campus (other YWAM locations also have focuses on evangelism and/or evangelism). We have both worked a lot with students and helped their discipleship, but God is also constantly training us as disciples and building our characters as we work with others. This will be a life-long process but we are very thankful for the opportunity to be in this environment of learning more about God and seeing what His mission for us is.

Teaching: Teaching others about worship and how to study the bible effectively is a huge part of our vision for the present and the future. Currently God is allowing us to lead the School of Worship and having both completed YWAM’s 9-month bible school (SBS) we are incorporating that into the school by having the students study the whole book of Psalms as it relates to worship. We know God will continue to use us to teach whether we are in YWAM or not.

Olsen Family Mission Trips
On December 16th, 2009 we took 6 School of Worship students on outreach to Spain and Hungary for 2 months.
Our students did an amazing job of evangelizing, leading worship, teaching on worship, serving, praying, interceding, reading the bible out loud and more!
In Spain we lived on a YWAM ship for a month and it was pretty challenging having no space or windows in your room! In Budapest it snowed unexpectedly for the whole time we were there so that brought challenges too!
God was faithful and brought people to us who we could minister to and have fellowship with, hang out with and pray for. It was an amazing outreach.

In January 2011 Theron went to Taipei, Taiwan for 10 days to visit our School of Worship team half way through their outreach. It was a great time of encouraging the students and team leader.
In December 2011 we took another School of Worship outreach team to Chiang Rai, Thailand. We are so proud of how our 7 students have grown in not only teaching and leading worship, but in evangelism with passion to see the Thai people in our immediate area come to have a relationship with Jesus.
This is our first outreach with Vienna and she is already a natural world-traveler!
